This Privacy Notice explains how Gujju.Me (“we”, “us”, or “our”) processes digital personal data when you create an account, publish a page, or visit our website. We act as a Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.

Personal data we process

We process the following personal data for the purposes listed below:

Account details — name, email address, username, date of birth, hashed password, and optional profile photo — to create and secure your account and personal link.
Parental / guardian details — parent email and parent account linkage when the Data Principal is under 18 — to obtain verifiable parental consent before activating a child account.
Page content you publish — titles, text, images, links, and other content you place on your pages — to host and display your public pages.
Cookie preference evidence — consent UUID, policy version, categories, locale, timestamp, hashed IP, and truncated user-agent — to record Accept/Reject of non-essential cookies.
Session and security data — session identifiers and related technical data — to keep you signed in and protect the service.

We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the core platform. We do not operate a contact or lead-capture form on the marketing site today.

Purposes and grounds

We process personal data for lawful purposes:

Providing the Gujju.Me service you request (account, pages, personal link) — with your consent / for performance of the service you seek.
Securing the platform and preventing abuse — legitimate use as needed to protect the service and users.
Recording cookie preferences and complying with applicable law — consent and legal obligation.
Obtaining and recording parental consent for child accounts — consent of the parent/guardian under the DPDP Act.

Cookies and local storage

Gujju.Me uses essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember language preference (when applicable), and store your cookie preference. When you Accept or Reject our cookie notice, we record evidence on our servers (timestamp, policy version, locale, consent identifier, hashed IP, truncated user-agent). We retain that evidence for up to three years, or longer if required by law. You can change your preference using Reject (essential only) or Accept on the banner; if we bump the policy version, we will ask again. Non-essential cookies (analytics or marketing) are only set after you consent to those categories.

Children

If you are under 18, we do not activate your account until a parent or lawful guardian who is an adult Gujju.Me user gives verifiable consent. Child accounts are not used for behavioural advertising or tracking.

Retention

We keep account and published content while your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove your account, pages, and profile photo. Cookie-consent evidence may be retained for the period above. Parental-consent evidence is retained as required to demonstrate compliance.

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with processors that help us operate the platform (for example hosting or email delivery when configured), under contract, or when required by law.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

As a Data Principal you may request:

Access — a summary of personal data we process about you and the processing activities.
Correction / completion / updating — fix inaccurate or incomplete personal data (you can also edit many details in Account settings).
Erasure — deletion of personal data when it is no longer needed for the stated purpose (you can also delete your account in Account settings).
Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, including cookie preferences via Reject on the banner.
Nomination — nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
Grievance redressal — raise a grievance with us (see below).

How to exercise your rights

Email privacy@page-app.test from the email address on your account (or include your username). Tell us which right you wish to exercise. We aim to respond within 90 days. For nomination, include the nominee’s full name and contact details.

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will update the date on this page and, where appropriate, we will re-prompt cookie consent by bumping the policy version.
